back to running

well yesterday i finally went for a good run. i didnt mean to go as far as i did but my run ended up being about 8.5 miles. that really is a bit to much for a first day back after taking months off from serious running so i feel ok about takeing today off from running. i just need to be sure to run tomorrow.

I have just about a month before this race i want to run in and i hope i left myself enough time to get back into shape. speaking of my race i should really register for it. wish me luck

  1. That's impressive mate - I try to run a 5k or so (just over 3 miles) every morning before class personally- but that is nothing on 8.5 miles.

  3. I just started up again about a week ago after sitting around doing nothing for the past year or two. Haven't done more than 5 miles yet, though. How far's the race you're doing?

  4. this race will have a 1 mile, a 5k and a 5mile. im not sure what i want to enter. at most i can do the mile and one other if im lucky though there will be little rest but thats what i normaly do. its a thanksgiving day run

  6. you may not have meant to run 8.5 mile, but good on you for doing so. I wish i could run a whole mile without being completely winded.
